What is this about?

To remember them, Glasgow Museums, in partnership with Invisible Cities, is organising a display across the whole city from 1-7th November

. This is part of “To Absent Friends” Festival.

*There were 38 recorded deaths of homeless people in Glasgow for 2018. These numbers were sourced, directly, from Glasgow City Council by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism last year. We believe this number is actually higher and so have decided to use 47 as this was published by homelessness charity Shelter.

To Absent Friends is Scotland’s people’s festival of storytelling and remembrance, which takes place across the country from 1 – 7 November each year. It gives people an excuse to remember, to tell stories, to celebrate and to reminisce about people we love who have died. Find out more from www.toabsentfriends.org.uk.
